Product Details
The SIP3020WF is part of our wire-free models designed for use where a reliable low current detector is required. Our Wire Free range can be very effective in situations where temporary or remote sites need protection. The SIP series features an intelligent detection system that monitors the temperature and illumincance of the environment and automatically adjusts the sensitivity. The SIP3020 (100' x 65') model is Ideal to protect long and narrow areas such as along fence lines or buildings and alleyways.
Designed to trigger CCTV systems | Weather and vandal-resistant | Low current and battery-powered. |
The REDWALL SIP series is designed to be connected to PTZ or fixed cameras and trigger the CCTV system when an intrusion occurs. The SIP-3020WF has two independent detection zones, far and near zones, with independent sensitivity selection, that can trigger camera pre-set and provide the best view of the scene to local security staff or remote monitoring stations. This model is the wire free version and is designed to be powered by batteries, with an optional radio transmitter for locations where cabling can be challenging (transmitter and batteries to be supplied seperatly). | REDWALL SIP PIRs are designed to be used in harsh outdoor environment, the sensitivity can be adjusted automatically to the ambient temperature and illuminance, they feature an IP65 rating for the main unit. The SIP series is vandal-resistantant all SIP products are built with polycarbonate housing, featuring an accelerometer to detect whether or not the sensor position has been tampered with. | The sensor operates on 40 μA in standby and on maximum 5mA when the LED is on, the batteries used for the sensor can also power the radio transmitter making it an ideal intrusion detection sensor for temporary locations such as construction sites and event as well as for hard-to-wire sites. Most radio transmitters available on the market can fit within the housing. |

Once the Redwall SIP unit is mounted on the wall or a pole, ideally at a height of 13 feet – or at least above 7 feet, the View Finder should be plugged onto the sensor using the two holes to secure it. The correct viewing plate should be inserted – each SIP model has a corresponding viewing plate. Looking through the plate, the sensor should be adjusted to ensure that it is grounded at the maximum detection distance. For instance, for a SIP-3020, the sensor should be grounded (not directed towards the sky) at 100 feet. Additionally, it is best to avoid having the detection area right at the edge of the security area, rather it is best practice to leave 3 feet either side. If the detection area is 65 feet wide, it is better to center the view at 36 feet from the edge on either side. If required, masking sticks can be used to mask part of the detection area. The detection will be less accurate. Ensure that the SIP is not installed higher than the recommended height which is 13 feet.
