Panoramic 180° Outdoor PIR
Flexible panoramic detection for harsh environment
The WXS series is OPTEX's latest 180° outdoor intrusion detection sensors with flexible range detection and settings, as well as a selectable low (0.8 - 1.2m) or high mount (2m) option, self-learning IR and intelligent anti-masking. Ideal as approach or flat roof protection for residential and commercial premises, the sensor is equipped with the Shield advanced features including double conductive shielding to avoid false alarms triggered by bright sunlight or RFI, automatic walk test and 5-year warranty.
Reliable
The WXS sensors feature two completely independent 90 degrees detection areas (left and right) triggering independent alarm outputs, which can be utilised in PTZ activation for example. Additionally detection sensitivity can be individually set to High, Medium and Low for the left and right detection areas. All WXS models are also equipped with Self-learning IR digital and anti-masking function which enables stable and reliable detection.
Enhanced reliability with combined PIR and microwave technology
Panoramic triple layer detection and greater reliability against nuisance alarms, particularly the ones generated by light disturbance. Only WXS-DAM and WXS-RDAM models.
Convenient
The WXS series can be installed between 0.8 and 1.2m (2'7'' and 4') high or as high mount sensor at 2.0m (6’7”) high, which can be effective in avoiding vandalism or masking of lens. Installation has been made easy with all accessible parts coloured in blue and a screw free design that contributes to reduction of installation time. The series includes a night mode, selectable if alarm outputs are required only when ambient light levels are low and can be used for example for lighting control.

Shield advance features combine convenience and security. Tamper outputs will be generated if the front cover is open or the unit is removed from the wall. And a wide LED window with wide and bright LED for recognition from distance
